How to Point Your Domain to Firebase Hosting
Step1: Create a Firebase Project
Note: If you already have a Firebase Project, skip to step 2…
Go to firebase.google.com
Then click the Go To Console button.
Then, sign in to your Google account (same as your Gmail)
Then click Add Project. Follow the steps by selecting a Project name and optionally add a Google Analytics Account.
Step 2: Add your domain to your Hosting Account
In your Firebase Project, go to Hosting under the Build section.
Then click the Add custom domain button.
Important Note: You can only do this after performing your first deployment with QuickDash. If you don’t see the Add custom Domain button, first do a deployment from your QuickDash account, then do this.
Then add the domain name where you want the website to be hosted at.
You’ll next be asked to verify ownership of your domain. You need to add a TXT record to your Domains DNS settings. Then you click the Verify button.
Important Note: It may take some time from adding the TXT record to Google being able to detect it, so if it doesn’t work right away, wait an hour or so and try again. If you’re unsure how to do this, ask your domain provider.
Finally, you just need to point your domain’s A Record for @ to the IP Address provided below. If you’re unsure how to do this, ask your domain provider.
